October 15 to 20, 2023
Oct 15-20, 2023
|Date||Oct 15-20, 2023|
|Duration||1 week (Mo-Fri, with Icebreaking event on Su)|
Medical and allied-health professionals (e.g., medical physicists, biomedical engineers, (radio-)pharmacists, physician scientists, medical doctors) in training (incl. late studies PhD students and post-docs) or early career. Attendees should come with basic knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology. All attendees should have a demonstrated interest in biomedical and/or clinical applications of natural sciences. They also must be able to communicate in English with their peers, and be willing to engage actively in open discussions as well as in joint Q&A sessions with the faculty.
To provide an update on current development and future trends in imaging-related technologies and clinical (research) applications. In addition, a curriculum will be offered to early career stage professionals with a focus on “How to” compose a CV, an application letter and deal with professional and career developments. A second curriculum will be offered on soft skills in professional and intercultural engagements to early- and mid-career stage professionals.
The course will be split into a core curriculum on imaging modalities (one modality per day) and two ancillary curricula on related professional development.
Ample time will be given throughout for Q&A sessions and interactions with a faculty of renown experts from European institutions and SMEs.
This school is dedicated to biomedical imaging. Attendees shall be provided with experts' perspectives on state-of-the-art instrumentation and approaches as well as ongoing developments in key clinical/biomedical imaging modalities (e.g., US/PA, CT, SPECT, PET and MRI). The 1-week course will be designed to promote a high level of interaction between audience and faculty. At the end of the course, attendees will confidently grasp both current and (near) future technological aspects and key applications of bespoke imaging modalities. Through additional insights into current and foreseen clinical applications, this will provide attendees with the deeper understanding and broader capability for supporting implementation and/or research into new areas of imaging applications.
Our international faculty comes with deep knowledge in imaging technologies. Each speaker is a well-acclaimed professional with a wide experience in clinical and research applications of imaging modalities, such as CT, SPECT and PET, MRI and Ultrasound. We also have faculty with an in-depth knowledge of AI and data analytics present during day 2 of the meeting. Our faculty includes clinicians, researchers, imaging physicists and entrepreneurs.
